‘Whenever God determines to do a great work, He first sets His people to pray.’ C. H. Spurgeon
Since the beginning of time it has been our Heavenly Father’s heart to restore mankind back into a loving relationship with Himself. God is at work drawing the hearts of this broken world to Himself and He has invited us, His children, to join Him in that work. We believe God has chosen to work through His people to reach this hurting world and at His Wonderful Works we consider that a great honor and privilege!
Oswald Chambers states, ‘Prayer does not equip us for greater works – prayer is the greater work.’ To kneel before Almighty God, seeking His face and hearing His heart for a lost world is what He has called us to do. To intercede, stand in the gap, and fight for the lost, broken, those in bondage and without hope… there is no greater calling. There is no greater work.
God’s word clearly states that He hears the prayers of His people when we humbly draw near to Him and that ‘the prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective.’ We can testify that we have watched Him work through our prayers in great and mighty ways. Hope has been restored, new life given, chains broken, and hearts have been set free. For this we give all glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
